Work Package 2: Marketing

The objective of work package 2 "Transnational Marketing" was to create a joint marketing strategy fo the entire Rhine Cycle Route in order to promote the territorial assets of the regions and thereby to make use of the economic potentials and business opportunities. A joint marketing program is an essential instrument and a prerequisite to enable the creation of added value for the tourism and services sector out of the existing infrastructure and facilities. The transnational activities within this work package consequently intended to pave the way for individual actors in the tourism and services sector so that added value is generated for them.

Based on the results of the marketing analysis report and the identified target groups a joint marketing program was designed and implemented, which includes press activities, presence at fairs, elaboration of marketing tools for small and medium enterprises in the tourism sector as well as the development of a web-portal to jointly market the transnational Rhine Cycle Route.
